Ein Anschlag im Schaukasten legt im November 1982 den Grundstein für die Geschichte eines, in dieser Form wohl einmaligen Musikclubs in Deutschland. Auf Beschluss des Kreistages Neuruppin sollte in der Stadt von Schinkel und Fontane ein erster echter Jugendtreffpunkt der provinziellen Öde ein Ende bereiten. Schnell mauserte es sich zu einem Veranstaltungszentrum, in dem Musikkultur und damit einhergehende Weltanschauungen eine zentrale Rolle spielten. Doch genau in diesem Spannungsfeld zwischen Kultur und Politik siedelte sich eine für Städte wie Neuruppin äußerst ungewöhnliche Subkultur an, die auch heute noch in Teile des Landes ausstrahlt. Mit der Wende verschwanden viele alte Probleme, mehr als genug neue kamen hinzu. Das Verhältnis zur Politik entspannte sich, blieb aber kompliziert. Zusätzlich stieg der kommerzielle Erfolgsdruck. Neue Sparten, beispielsweise ein lnternetcafé sowie eine Kinder- und Jugendwerkstatt kamen hinzu. In jüngerer Vergangenheit knüpfte der Liveclub wieder an alte Zeiten an.
